Getting to SDU by train, bus, or taxi

DSB (Danish State Railways) offers rail connection between Odense and most major cities in Denmark. When travelling intercity it can be a good idea to pay 20kr for a seat reservation, as trains can often be crowded.

Odense railway station has two bus stops. Regional busses (Rutebiler) are located behind the station towards the train museum. City buses are located between the tracks and the station building itself. If you travel with an Odense city bus in connection with your train ride, the train ticket is valid for the bus too. City buses are for 16 DDK. Note that you should have the exact amount ready for the driver.

Buses from the train station to the University are 40, 41 and 42 and are marked "Universitet".

You can hail a taxi on the street, ask in a bar/restaurant or call them, but you must know that they are much more expensive when compared to buses. During the daytime, from the train station to the University it could cost around 200 DKK. Phone numbers: 0045 6615 4415, 0045 6612 2742, 0045 6612 2712, 0045 6612 2709.
